Reading rider sets off on 2000 km enduro race

Anisa has done several long-distance races

Reading’s endurance racer Anisa Aubin set off this morning on her 2000 km self-supported ride from Lands End to John O’Groats.

Anisa is one of 15 riders doing the GBDuro bikepacking enduro on roads, gravel and footpaths.

The riders aren’t allowed the help of others or the use of buildings, and it’s a zero-waste ride, meaning that participants can’t dispose of non-biodegradable waste during the race – they’ll have to take it with them.

During the Reading Cycle Festival in mid-July Anisa described her preparations and previous endurance races she has done, including her race from Norway to Spain.
